BIO: Fenced Yard Required For Adoption

Hi, my name is Bentley and I’m a super sweet and handsome boy!  I love to play and run around in my foster mom’s big yard.  I really love running around and playing with my friend Tommy.  We growl, bark, run and tumble all day 'till we get so tired we drop and nap.  I'm an active little guy so a fenced yard is a must.  I love to chew on bones, I might even be a little stingy when I get one.  I love Tommy, but I don’t want to share my bones with him!

Foster mom told me she appreciates that I don’t bark all the time, and only when I’m trying to communicate something important to her.  My foster mom has a cat in the house, can you believe that?!  Every time I see that cat I bark, growl and chase him through the house.  Foster mom has to spray me with a water bottle and tells me to calm down.  I’m sure after a while I could be friends with the cat, but for now, I just want to chase it.  I love to give foster mom kisses and snuggles though!

After a full day of playing, my favorite thing to do is snuggle up next to foster mom. I’m a very loyal companion and I would sure love to find my furever home soon.

If you think I could be your best friend and want more info, please contact my foster mom, Julie, at shiverjc@gmail.com.

More about Bentley.....FL

Good with Dogs, Not Good with Cats, Good with Kids, Good with Adults

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
