Patti says “ I am an easy going kind of Gal, always trying to please you. My Foster Mom says I am a sweetie, I do my best to do that. I Love to sit and have my belly rubbed and snuggle. Bed time, I am there, Love the big bed and sleeping in all those blankets ahh that’s the best. I am a little skinny right now but I have been eating real good so it will take no time now to put on the few lbs I need. I love those squeaky toys though hope you don’t mind, but I have to see what makes them work. “
Foster MOM says “Yes Pattie is a sweetie but she does want all of the attention but does get along with her Foster brother and sister. She has little springs in those legs, the baby gates I have tells her nothing if there is something she wants to get to on the other side. You can tell she was abused before she came to us because when you tell her no she will curl into a ball and cower ,with that being said though she is the most trusting thing there is, she just wants you to love her.
Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.

Good with Dogs, Not Good with Cats

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
