Hi, Robbie here!  I came from a breeder when she decided to give up some of her stock. Until that time I’d lived my short life in a cage but now I’m “FREE”.  I love to run in the grass and play with other dogs and just enjoy life.  I’m a little shy right now cause all this is so new to me but I’m catching on quick and I love it!

At the top of my wish list for Christmas is a family of my own that has another young dog or cat that I can play with, a fenced yard, and a mommy or daddy that is home a lot to help me with potty training but also young enough to put up with my puppy ways.

If you hit these requirements could you please, please apply for me?  I’d love to be able to have some presents under your tree on Christmas morning!!

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
