Daisy is a fun loving 4 year old girl who loves to run around and play with toys. She likes to gaze out the window and watch the cars go by. She never misses a beat! When you’re around the house, she will follow you around like your own personal posse and sit in your lap while you watch television or sleep. She loves to go to the dog park and play with other dogs, but also loves to schmooze with the humans. Daisy is full of character and potty trained. She knows how to potty outside (preferably on the grass) and is good on a leash. She is good with steps, so don’t let her con you into carrying her up them! Having lost a few pounds, this lovable lady is full of energy and sure to entertain like no other animal can!

Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. If going by ground transport, the adopter is responsible for an additional fee of $25 for the required Health Certificate to cross state lines. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.

More about DAISY 2...SC

Good with Dogs, Not Good with Cats, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
