BIO:

Blossom has had a rough start to life, but she is on the road to recovery.  She still gets upset easily and will roll over submissively.  She would do wonderfully with an older couple who have the time to dote on her and love her.  She adores snuggles, hugs, kisses and sweet nothings whispered in her ears... LOL.  She would stay wrapped up in a baby blanket with you all day if you let her.  You never have to look far because Blossom wants to be exactly where you are.  She is a dream to walk, she never pulls.  Blossom would be okay with another small dog of a similar age in the house, but no large dogs as they upset her.  She has come very far from the first time I met her, with continued love and care she will BLOSSOM!

If you have questions about this beautiful little girl, contact her foster mom at Linda.southergill@att.net.

Good with Dogs, Good with Older/Considerate Kids Only

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
