BIO:  Must have fenced in yard

I may be smaller than my sister, Willow, but I can hold my own with anyone!  I’m not scared!  My foster mom calls me a little stinker ‘cause she said I get into everything and I’m a little firecracker, do you know what that means??  I have to prove myself to all because I am so small.

Hi, I’m Wisdom’s foster mom and if you are looking for a little dachshund with a lot of attitude then look NO further.  She is a mess but sweet as can be.  She gets along with all the other puppies here and loves to try and play with the cat.  She is doing very well on using puppy pads and if you use treats as rewards, she’s very smart and should catch on to housebreaking very quickly, better to do it now when the weather is decent.

She can’t go anywhere until she is spayed on the 9th of November and has her second set of puppy shots.  All you’ll need to do is get her last set of three and she’ll be completely protected.  After the 9th of November, she can go on a volunteer transport to her new home. Will that home be yours?  We would like for her to have a fenced yard and another dog for her to play with... that way it’ll save your toes and fingers!

More about Wisdom....FL

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Older/Considerate Kids Only, Good with Adults

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
