BIO: Delores is a very sweet, friendly, beautiful Longhair Red & White Piebald.  She has a gentle, loving personality and loves to cuddle.  Due to unfortunate circumstances, her previous owners had to make the decision to surrender her.  We have only fostered her for a short time and she has adjusted well.  I would keep her in a heartbeat!

She loves being outside and will hunt for squirrels all day.  She loves going for walks, which will help her lose those few extra pounds.  She is on weight management kibble to help her reach her goal.  She even seems to know basic commands.

If you are looking for a new canine friend, please consider Delores... she is so deserving of finding her forever home quickly!

More about Delores.....NY

Good with Dogs

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
