BIO:      Hi!   My name is Greta and I’m the bigger than my sisters, Zoey and Eva!! I like to bully them but they don’t mind and try to give it right back to me. We are very smart and we use the puppy pads about 85% of the time, and that’s pretty good for us young kids.

My sisters and I got dumped at a shelter in Hartsville, AL along with our mom and the shelter knew it was better to get us out of there so they called rescue and, well, here we are.

They just woke me up to take these pictures so they aren’t my best, but if you’d like to see more, just ask my foster mom I’m sure she’ll get them for you.  Make sure you tell her it’s for me and give her my number.  I’d really like to have a fenced in yard with another young dog or kitty to play with because I like to play and we could have so much fun tearing around the house and fenced yard.  Please think about it and give me a forever home.  I’m likely to live for about 17 years so remember to love me forever, and I will love you too!

I have to be able to get out every two hours to potty outside if you want to help me with housetraining.  I can’t have you gone for 8 plus hours a day or I’ll never be trained, unless you want me only puppy pad trained then “I got that”!!

Oh, the rescue thinks mom is either a “poorly bred dachshund” or a “chiweenie”, whatever those two mean.  Not really sure about dad.  Whatever, I’m just too cute!

Questions??   Foster mom is waiting to answer them all!

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
