BIO: Hi! I’m one of the awesome 8 that came in from central Alabama with our mom when the owner no longer wanted us. No info given other than we were not wanted. Mom is a standard black and tan dachshund so I don’t know where I got my coloring from, maybe Dad? But that doesn’t matter does it? I’m cute and that’s all that counts! I’m likely to be between 15-20 pounds and longer-legged than a dachshund, which is good 'cause that will help with preventing back issues.

I’m all puppy and love to chew things and play with my brothers and sisters. I’m not shy and will come to you and interact with you, and please keep me socialized so I’ll like all people and kids.

I would love to have a fenced yard and another young dog to play with so if you are looking to add to your family, please consider me!

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
