BEING FOSTERED IN TN.......

PING PONG was turned into a shelter in B'ham, AL as a stray. He is very very sweet and just wants to be your friend. He is very friendly to all the foster dogs and settled in very well here. Lives to sleep in the big bed with his human. It's pretty clear he was someones pet at one time. If kept on a schedule he does well with house training and will use the doggie dog. We think he would be great around small children if always supervised. Cats we do not know about as the foster home does not have any. We'd like to see him go to a home with a fenced in yard so he can patrol for birds and squirrels. Do you have a fenced yard that needs to be patroled? If so please apply today for PING PONG. The rewards will be wonderful. We'll get pics as soon as we get him to stay in one place long enough to take some.
Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.

Good with Dogs

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
