Hans...MO
Hans...MO

Hans is doing fine. I am trying to attach a photo of him but I am not having much luck. I will have to do that at a later date. Hans seems to fit in very well at our house. He has really become attached to our kids and sleeps on our older daughter's bed. He had a great time in the snow this morning. He got on the scent of a rabbit in the back yard and it went through the fence and got away. I couldn't get him to come in the house for anything and finally had to put my boots on and go get him. He didn't even want to come in for breakfast, which is really unusual for him. He loves to eat and barks at us if he thinks it is time for a meal. He and our other dog tried to trick my husband into feeding them a second meal the other night after I had fed them and left the house. Luckily my husband called and checked. We had fallen for this trick before with our other dog. Hans is really playful. He and our older dog are getting along great. There was some jealousy at first, but they are getting along great now. We lost our old golden retriever about a year ago and our dachshund was very lonely for her. She is now playing with her toys again now that Hans is here. We are all amazed that anyone would want to part with Hans. He is such a sweet dog. I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical about getting an older dog since we had always started with puppies in the past, but this has worked out very well. I don't think our older dog could have put up with the energy of a puppy and it was so nice not to have to housebreak a dog. His personality seems to fit right in with all of ours and he is now a member of our family. He is really happy here and acts as if this has always been his home. If you have any questions, let me know. I will try to send that picture to you later after someone helps me with it. I always seem to have trouble attaching something to an e-mail. Thanks, Amy N.
