DAISY MAE IS MUCH PRETTIER THAN HER PICTURES! The hair on her head and neck is much softer than I have ever felt on a smooth dachshund before - you just want to love on her!

Daisy Mae is one that came from a breeder in Kentucky. Unlike many breeder dogs, they were well socialized and Daisy is no exception. She loves to play. She loves attention and everybody who will give her attention. Daisy Mae has been fine with other dogs and children. She can get a little competitive about her toys. While she had never been leash trained before, she's learning quickly. She loves using the doggie door and will wonder outside to check out the yard. She's exceptionally cuddly and now knows that the place to sleep is in the big bed. Her pictures do not do her justice.

More about DAISY MAE... FL

Good with Dogs, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
