We aren't quite sure but it could have been cause of her potty habits. She is doing well but will need continued work on housetraining with positive approach and treats when she does her business outside. She is here with a doggie door and is doing very well with that. She loves to play play and more play so she needs another young dog that she can play with and keep her company so she doesn't get bored. She is a cuddle bug and loves to cuddle up with you to sleep or sleep in the big bed with you at night. She is UTD on all shots and on heartworm prevention and Frontline. We have several transporters that for a fee will bring the dog as close to you as possible up the Eastern seaboard or down to FLORDIA. A home visit is required on all adoptions. We also micro chip all our dogs and must pass the cost on to the adopter. It is only $10.00. AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
