HOLLY IS SHY AND RESERVED BUT AFTER SHE KNOWS YOU WILL NOT HURT HER SHE COMES AROUND AND IS A SWEET SWEET BABY!!

Holly was an owner surrender and probably due to the fact that she doesn't like small children. So she needs to go to a home with no small children under 10. She does fine with males and females if they are not alpha She does love attention but doesn't not care for strangers and will take a while and patience to warm up to you. She is house trained to a doggie door will just need to learn your schedule. She is as sweet as can be and loves to sleep in the bid bed. If interested please go to www.ssdr.org and fill out an online adoption application and put her name on it. Out of state adoption are welcome and home visit is required.

More about HOLLY...TN

Not Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
