BIO:

Hello, my name is Honor!  I came from a home in West Tennessee when my mom died and the family had so many other things going on that they just couldn’t keep me.  So, here I am... 4 yrs old and looking for my forever family again.

I’m a bit bossy so a home with a male dog is best, but no cats please.  I want/need a fenced-in yard 'cause I’m not the best at walking on a leash and you’ll need to teach me to let you know when I need to go potty, so that’s why a fenced-in yard is best.  One thing I can tell you is I LOVE PEOPLE.  I’m happy, friendly, and will give kisses to any and all!

Please, can you help me find my last, and I mean last, forever home.  If you are sure you’re not it, then please don’t apply.  Please don’t disappoint me.

I really need an energetic person to keep up with me cause I like to move!

See you soon….

More about Honor in FL

Good with Dogs, Not Good with Cats, Good with Older/Considerate Kids Only, Good with Adults

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
