BIO:

Ginger is a Mauxie (Dachshund-Maltese mix, a designer breed).  She is the last of 6 puppies that came from northern AL and she is looking for her forever home.  She is happy, outgoing and playful.  What more could you ask for in a puppy?!  She’s great with other smaller dogs, cats, and children that know how to be respectful of an animal.  She is looking for a home with a fenced yard, another dog or cat to play with, and someone that is home enough to help her learn about housetraining.

Ginger will be able to go to her forever home on the 10th of December when she has her second set of shots, then 3 weeks later she’ll have her final set and will be fully protected.  If you have the kind of home we are looking for and you want a real snuggle bunny to warm your bed and your heart, look no further, she’s your girl.

If you would like more information about this little cutie, please contact her foster mom, Diane, at aadrpresident@gmail.com.

Good with Cats, Good with Older/Considerate Kids Only

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
