BIO: Rubio loves to play so a home with another dog big or small that also likes to play is best for him. Fenced yard a must!
I will do my best in a home with lots of people around me, a fenced-in yard and another four legged friend to keep me company when you are at work or not at home. Open up your heart and home to this little guy (Me!!) who will love you and be your BEST FRIEND FOREVER!
My name is Rubio and I am an owner surrender from KY. I am the end result of a Christmas present that didn’t go well. Can you believe my family gave me up because I am too active, full of energy and chew things left on the floor?! I’m not sure why but I thought all puppies do this? Unless they are stuffed?? LOL... I think it is a blessing AADR took me in from the KY Humane Society. When AADR first got me, I wasn’t feeling well! They took me to the Vet and I was Parvo positive! That was the 1st of June and after medical treatment I have a clean bill of health.
Although I don’t know a life beyond puppyhood... I am learning and experiencing many new things in my new Foster home. I want a family that wants to hold and comfort me as they continue to help me learn the basic things about being a dog. I am affectionate and love to cuddle on your lap whenever possible. I love treats and am food motivated. I have no food/fear aggressions, no submissive urination, or separation anxiety.
I have been with my new “Foster Mom” for just a little while now. I have learned to sit and wait when dinner is ready. I get so excited that I do spins around the room! I never realized how much fun eating could be! Every evening when the sun goes down, my Foster Mommy let’s me cuddle on her lap with the others and snuggle in the warm blankets (ummm . . . this feels so good and I know I am safe). I like taking naps on the rug or in the open crate, and being held and cuddled.
I am looking for my forever home; a family who will give me lots of love, take me for walks, cuddle and play with me, and always keep me safe. I need a family who is patient and will work helping me learn my social skills and teach me all the “doggie” things I need to learn. I sure would like my FOREVER HOME to be FOREVER! Only serious applicants need apply.
