Hello Minnie here. I am very lovey, sweet and a cuddle bug. I love to follow my foster mom around, oh yea and nosy. I am sooo cute and adorable, at least that's what everyone says.
I do very well with other dogs, not real fond of the big one she was sitting for. I think only because he was a five month golden doodle, he was huge, wanted to play to much he was so floppy. All of us dogs were glad when he left, tooo busy. They have three dachshunds and I think their all awesome. They love to play and so do I. I am spunky and love the attention from people and small dogs. I love to lay in the sun, inside and out. The cat well he had to put me in my place, he's ok.
I am looking to be adopted by that special person/family who will love and care for me. All I want and need is to be another member of the family just not a pet.
You see I came from Alabama. My owner past. I am very lucky someone thought to notified AADR, and here I am. When I was sent to my foster home, after fully vetted and so well cared for. I was just a gem in the car. They had a nice cuddly bed and a blanket, just settled in.
I do sleep in a crate at night, wasn't crazy about it at first, being left out for last time, Celeste “night, night and bed time” we all race back and jump in our own. Has soft blankets and she covers it, it's not to bad it's like my own little space.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact my foster mom, she'll be more than happy to talk with you. Thanks for taking a look at me and reading my story
If you have questions about this dog please feel free to contact the foster home at the email address listed above. We welcome out of state and Canadian adoptions, but we will not ship any dog via cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. If they choose transporting by volunteers through our organi45 Fee for the required Health Certificate.
We will not adopt into the state of CT, RI or MA due to strict laws regarding importation of dogs into those states. If you have an issue with this you need to take this up with your legislatures.
We are now approved to adopt/foster in the state of NH but adopters will have to pay health certificate fee of 45.00 once to get the dog to our quarantine facility and another 45.00 fee to get the dog out of quarantine after two days.
To understand the adoption process through AADR please visit the Adoption Information. Transportation options are outlined on that page in Step 3.
If you are interested in adopting this Dachshund please Read Before You Adopt and then you cancomplete an Application.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast or up and down the West Coast. We just can't get them from one Coast to the other but some day we hope to have enough volunteers to do that as well for now please look for dogs on your coast.
