Hi!!! My name is Rooney. I am an adorable 6 week old black and tan long haired baby. I came to AADR with my mom and 3 brothers. Anyway, I am the smallest of all us boys but I have the biggest attitude! I like to boss the others around. I also have lots of energy so when my brothers are taking a nap, I still want to be playing. Even though I am small right now, I will probably end up being a small standard size dachshund like my beautiful mommy. I have 7 bigger furry foster brothers and sisters and I am not intimidated by them one bit! In fact, I try to boss them around too. Foster mom says that I need to go to a dachshund savvy home because of my bossy attitude. I also have a 10 year old human foster brother and I adore him! Kids in the home would be ok for me as long as they understand my boundaries and understand how to treat me nicely. I love to give kisses and am constantly wagging my tail. I just love life!! I am too young to be put on a transport so my new family will have to come to Clarksville, TN to pick me up. This is not negotiable. Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
