BIO:
Hi I’m Kasey and I’m here to plead my case. You see my mom took great care of me for a long time. I got all the toys, treats, food I could ever want. She really spoiled me and then along came a baby. Well I was her baby so why did she need another one? Well I got mad and decided I was going to get even with her for having baby there and I started to potty in the babies room, I’d show her. Well it didn’t work out the way I expected and here I am…will you love me and promise not to replace me, please?!
Kasey came in very confused and scared but she adjusted and now after about 2-3 days she is just fine. She’s not had an accident in the house so we know she was acting out from all the turmoil in the old home. Her mom really did shower Kasey with the best of everything and when she moves on to her new forever home she’ll take all her belongings with her.
Kasey will follow you everywhere and lay in your lap when you’re resting. She loves to be outside. We think she’d be fine with kids 10 and up but not babies and please shower her with the love she’s used to she’ll give it back tenfold. She’ll be shy for a bit but if you’ll just have patience she’ll show you the princess she is. She’s not a barker, could be alone or with another dog. Please make your home the last home that Kasey will know.

Good with Dogs, Is Not Good with Kids
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
