BEING FOSTERED IN WESTERN NY STATE......

ROSETTA came from B'ham, AL as a stray and placed in a shelter down in AL. This little girl is a little on the shy side but very very very sweet. She has some scars on her head that we don't have any idea how they got there we can only hope it was NOT from abuse. This little girl is too sweet to have her spirit broken. She did come in with ROLF but does not need to be adopted out with him but she would do best with another dachshund and we believe male would be best that way she won't get pushed around by an ALPHA female. Rosetta really needs a fenced in yard or someone that will teach her to walk well and do her business on a leash. She does appear to be house broken. She is UTD on all shots and heartworm negaitive and on Interceptor and Frontline. If you want a sweet little girl to grace your bed or couch than ROSETTA is the little girl for you. Please consider giving her last forever home.
We think that Rosetta would be fine with or without another dog. She loves to sleep in the big bed and cuddle with her foster mom and dad. Please give her a forever home won't you???
Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.

More about ROSETTA...NY

Good with Dogs

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
