NAME.......................Nanner Puddin COAT.......................Smooth COLOR......................Red AGE........................5 years GENDER.....................FEMALE/SPAYED WEIGHT.....................19 pounds CONTACT....................staceyea@charter.net ADOPTION FEE...............$250 plus $10 microchip fee Nanner Puddin and Cooper lived where grandchildren visited often. One day when Nanner Puddin was asleep, a grandchild fell on her and it startled Nanner so much that she nipped at the child. The owners did not feel they could keep the dogs after that so they came into rescue. We have been evaluating Nanner Puddin while she has been in foster care. She has behaved very well and hasn’t shown any signs of aggression, however, she does need to know that she does not run the house. She is thriving in foster care, and playing well with other dogs. As well, we have discovered Nanner Puddin is a talker. To hear her, you might think she is growling, but actually she is speaking to you through a moan and is truly a delight to converse with. Nanner Puddin's vet papers say she has food allergies but she is doing fine on Beneful. Nanner Puddin does need to loose a few pounds and her forever home will need to be mindful of her dietary needs. She has been fine with children. Nanner Puddin is spayed, UTD, and on prevention. If you are an experienced Doxie owner, and can give Nanner Puddin all the love and devotion that she desires, please fill out an application to adopt and list Nanner Puddin as your preference.

Good with Dogs, Good with Kids
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
