MINNIE was discovered abandoned by a wonderful family that took her in and tried to find her owners and even got her a dental. They knew that she needed to be in rescue where she could find a wonderful lasting forever home so here she is. She's very quiet, no trouble, likes to sleep in the doggie beds, go outside to wander around and snooze in the sun. She is now spayed, utd on all shots and on heartworm preventative and frontline. If you'd like a quiet little girl that just happy to have a few comforts of life than Minnie is the girl for you. If you are interested in giving Minnie her last loving home please go on line to www.ssdr.org and fill out an online adoption application. Keep in mind that 7-8 yrs is not old as some of these dogs can live to be 17-18 yrs old.
Out of state and Canidian adoptions are welcome, we have several transporters that for a fee will bring the dog as close to you as possible. A home visit is required. We also micro chip all our dogs and must pass the cost on to the adopter. It is only $10.00. Thank you for your interested in a rescue.
More about MINNIE...OH
Is Not Good with Kids
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
