DACHSHUND..........................PURE/STANDARD MICROCHIPPED.....................YES COAT.........................................SPARSE COLOR......................................BLUE AGE............................................5 YRS WEIGHT.....................................18 LBS CONTACT DIANE ADOPTION FEE.......................200.00 Huey has been in foster care way too long!! He is very shy but loves to be loved on and just be a couch potato......If you want someone to watch the ball games with then Huey is your man!! Well he may not watch much TV but he sure will keep you company where ever you go. Because Huey is shy he would be best in a home with no children or no cats....other dogs are fine. Be perpared to take time to win him over cause it won't be easy but once he knows you are ok, he turns into a real mush face. He is UTD on all shots on Interceptor and Frontline........must also have a fenced yard. Please feel free to contact his foster mom with any questions........Home visit is required. Because of Huey's shyness he can only be adopted out locally.

Not Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
