BIO:

Crissy & McKenzie came from MO. They are sweet, sweet little girls. Crissy is the more out going of the two. Both girls are a little shy due to no previous socialization, but that is changing on a daily basis. They are learning what it is like to run around and play all day long. They love, love squeaky toys. They are both working on crate training and doing a WONDERFUL job, neither have had a potty accident in their crates (they are only being crated at night). They are learning how to use a doggie door and that outside is the best place to go potty. Of course at this young age there are going to be accidents but these ladies are fast learners. Right now Crissy’s main concern is chewing and puppy playing. She would love a home with another doggie companion that she could rough house with or just cuddle up with.

Crissy needs a home filled with love and a commitment to training so she can be the adored companion she yearns to be.

More about Crissy...VT

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
