BIO

Reiny is a courtesy listing and not associated with All American Dachshund Rescue.  Please contact Chevy Hall at the e-mail listed above for further details on Reiny and how to adopt her.

Reiny (NS#1097) is a sweet little blue female, born around June 1, 2011. We believe her father was an Australian Shepherd, and her mother was a Dachshund or Miniature Dachshund. She is very short and stout with a long body with 2 beautiful blue eyes that will melt your heart. She has a medium coat so grooming shouldn't be a hassle.

Reiny's a love-bug and has a great future as a lap dog. She's a bit more laid back than her siblings. When she gets going she loves to play tug-o-war and fetch although the fetch thing needs a bit more work, after all she is still a baby.

She's doing very well on the potty training. She is already crate trained and is trying her best to master the doggie door. But she is a bit vertically challenged and the doggie door is for X-lg dogs.

If you are looking for a smaller dog with an abundance of intelligence and sweet to boot, Reiny is your girl! If you are interested in making Reiny a part of your family, please visit www.ns4ar.org and fill out an adoption application today!

Please also check out Roane and Nila.

More about Reiny

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
