Lola is a sweet 6 year old red smooth dachshund.Lola and her sister, Lily (Click HERE to see her bio), grew up together but their owner passed away. These 2 are a Bonded Pair and we would like to keep them together. They just love each other so much and would be lonely without each others company. Lola loves to play and wags her tail and her butt when she is excited.Lola is very social.Lola likes to cuddle down by your side when you are watching television. She gets along with other dogs very well. She has not been around children so we would not recommend her to go to a home with children under 10 years old.Lola is trained on a pee pad when left home but would love to have a big back yard to play in when you are home.Lola will go into her crate at night to sleep in but does have the run of the house during the day. Please consider giving Lola a furever home!

If you have questions about this dog please feel free to contact the foster home at the email address listed above. We welcome out of state and Canadian adoptions, but we will not ship any dog via cargo. Please Read Before You Adopt to learn more about transportation options. If you are interested in adopting this Dachshund please Read Before You Adopt and Fill Out an Application.
More about Lola
Good with Dogs, Is Not Good with Kids
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
